Our New Business E-mail Address

As most of you know Lillian and I have started a little business called Lil'z Lidz. {If you don't, then scroll down on the page for more info} Today we decided, since everyone has been e-mailing about the hats on one of my parents' e-mail addresses, we decided to have our own business one. It would make everything a lot easier and more organized. So, here is our wonderful new e-mail address:

lilzlidz@hotmail.com

Hurray! So again, if you are interested in purchasing one let me know! You can even e-mail us at our new address. Also, if you go to The Thurber Gang blog, there is more details on Lil'z Lidz!

Who's Ready?

Who is ready for school? I'm not! Although they give you like 3 months for vacation it goes by way too fast. Summer's almost over, and now freedom is too! Don't get me wrong, I am SO excited for school... since I am going to middle school! I will be going to Reach Academy in Roseville, and all my other sisters will be going to Koepsell! {Where I went since Kindergarten up to 5th Grade!} I am really sad that I am leaving the school that I grew up in, not to mention all my friends that are going to different middle schools. But I am really excited to go to middle school that one of my BFF goes to! She is a grade ahead of me, but at least I know someone that goes to this school.

Also, we have to wear uniforms! I am really excited about that, I went shopping the other day for what we need... the uniforms are actually pretty strict. You HAVE to wear khaki bottoms, and a navy shirt. The shirt has to have a collar and if the bottoms have a belt strap there has to be a belt. On Friday you can wear a red shirt if you want. The shoes have to be loafers or slip-on shoes that are black, brown or burgundy. You can also wear sweaters, but they also have to be certain colors. I think wearing uniforms are easy, because you know what you are going to wear the next morning!

We just went school supply shopping the other day. Which, I think is a lot of fun! I don't know why, but I think it is! This year, we are going to make our own pencil cases! We picked out our fabric and our zipper color already, and hopefully we will start and finish them today. Lil and I are also making our binder covers! Mine has tons of underwater animals, and I guess an underwater theme too! Lillian has ice skating stuff on hers. I am just so excited for school! But then again, it is nice to sleep in till 10:00 every morning. {Like I have been!}

Bob Jr: The Canadian Plumber

One day, {well, actually today} four kids were bored. The second oldest, Lillian, suddenly had a brilliant idea! "Let's do makeovers on the little kids!" She told the oldest, Madison. "Alright," she replied. So the two girls set off designing the girls' hair, makeup and clothes. While re-applying some more makeup on the youngest, Vivien, Madison drew a mustache on Lillian with lipstick. Thus creating a sensational moment, when the two girls were struck with an awesome idea, like lightning. An unbelievable, totally beyond amazing idea was born! We now present.....

Roasted Chicken Boobas

Lillian and her best friend Sydney, who moved to Virginia a few weeks ago, made up this scary but hilarious little poem thing. It goes like this:

"Roasted Chicken Boobas, you're going to like them kids. So if you're mama asks what you want for dinner say Roasted Chicken Boobas, or else you'll pay the consequences!!"

It may not be that funny when you read it, but they use a freakishly low and crackly voice to say this! You better try Roasted Chicken Boobas, or else you'll pay the consequences!

My New Favorite Book

I just finished a book called Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City, and now I am on the 2nd one in the series, The Empress's Tomb. It is now one of my favorite books! I would totally recommend it to anyone that is about 11 and up because there are some things that are hard to understand. Here's the whole description that is on the book:

Life will never be the same for Ananka Fishbein after she ventures into and enormous sinkhole near her New York City apartment. Climbing down a filthy rope ladder deeper and deeper into the ground to find a mysterious underground room, Ananka knows she has stumbled upon a big secret, but she has no idea exactly how big. Not only does she discover the long-forgotten Shadow City beneath Manhattan's bustling streets, she meets the mysterious Kiki Strike, a black-clad, Vespa-riding, cafe-au-lait- drinking girl who seems to appear and vanish like magic. A million rats, five delinquent Girl Scouts out for revenge, and a secret city below the streets of Manhattan combine in this remarkable novel about a darker side of New York City you have just begun to know about...

There's a lot more to it though. But it is SO good! It's by Kirsten Miller so maybe you could check it out! Because it is one of the best books I have ever read!

Lillian's New Career

Lil’z Lidz

As you may already know, Lillian started knitting about 2 years ago. But this past year she has learned to crochet!

I love crocheting!

Yes, we all know, Lil! Anyway, she made herself a cute beanie with her new technique.

It took a while for me to get in the hang of it. But it was a lot of fun!

After wearing it around a few times, people were interested in her hat that she made! So, now Lil is making more, and she's going to start selling them for $15 dollars each. And I am helping her to advertise her cute creations and help to sell them! I get 10% of the profit.

I must admit that they are really comfortable and fashionable! I wear mine almost everyday, and it would look really cute in the fall. I am excited to start selling some of these! The girl at the top is going to be my new logo, and my business is called Lil'z Lidz!

My dad thought of that.

If any of you are interested in buying one let me know, because I am happy to make you one! We only have 1 color right now, but we will soon have more! Here is a picture of what it looks like when it is all done.

Cute, huh? I really like the string. Let us know if would be interested in purchasing one!
