Wow, I have posted SO many short posts, so I will try to make this one sort of long...
To begin with, I had another Spanish test today and I am crossing my fingers that I did well! I did really good on the other one, plus there was Extra Credit on the test I took today, so hopefully I got that right!!
The next thing is that tomorrow's Friday! YAY!! It's almost time to relax, the only problem is that on Monday our schedule will be different because we took a test a few weeks ago to see if we should move up or down in a subject. I'm moving up, but a lot of good friends that I have made might not! Darn it....
Another thing is that I might have a solo part in my choir at school! I am really excited about that but also really nervous! Because we might have to sing it in front of the whole school! And on Monday, which is our assembly day, the choir is going to sing the National Anthem!!
One more thing before I get to the really good part, since I have volleyball practice and games during my swimming time, I miss a bunch of swimming practices! So, if I want my coach to think I take swimming seriously, I have been going in the morning's before school. The only thing is, is that I have to wake up at around 4:55 - 5:00 a.m. ish to go to swimming! It's super cold and we have to get ready for school there. That means the night before you have to have your backpack, lunch, swimming stuff, everything you need to get ready for the next day in swim bag, and a whole bunch more!
Okay, you know how we lost all 3 volleyball games last Thursday? (If not, look at our other posts!) Well, we WON ALL 3 GAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO SO happy that we won, after all we had improved a lot since last game. Plus the team that we played today was not as good as the other one! Our whole team was super happy... and so am I!
Well, that about wraps it up for today folks!
P.S. Speaking of wraps, I am SO hungry! I haven't really eaten anything since lunch at 1:00!
Welcome to Skates and Goggles, the best blog around! So tighten your goggle straps and sharpen your ice skating blades and. . . read!!
This blog is all about 2 crazy sisters and their busy and fun life. The oldest Madison swims, and Lillian skates!

Spanish, Volleyball, Bob Jr. OH MY!
The first order of business is that I took my Spanish test today (my first one ever!)... and while I was at my volleyball game (I'll talk about that later!) Senorita La Torre called my mom and told me I got 100%!! WAHOO! I am really excited about learning more....
The next thing that I want to put out into this world, is that we had our first volleyball game! Three words: (1) team (2) needs (3) improvement. Yup. Maybe A LOT! First of all, the other team had 7th and 8th graders, while we only had 6th and 7th. And, the other team had been practicing since 5th grade. We only started a two weeks ago. (Except me, I have been doing it much longer than that!) I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed as this is our first game, but I definitely hope we get better and learn more.
The last and final thing that I want to share is that we made another Bob Jr, and it is not letting us put it on... we still have to figure it out, so hang tight and cross your fingers that we will have another Bob Jr! This is a lot of different things in one!
Spanish, Volleyball, Bob Jr, OH MY!
P.S For the translating trivia, if you want the answers I need at least 3-4 comments with the answers. Until then I will not give it out, so translate the message! (Hint - all you have to do is go to dictionary.com and click on translator. There you can copy the message into the box and have it translated from Norwegian to English!)

Okay, Lillian and I decided to do another Bob Jr. skit because everyone thought it was really funny! It's called:
BOB JR: SHAVING DISASTER!
On this one, we decided to have it a bit longer and have us move around more! It was really fun making this one and we hope you like it as much as we do! Here you go:

Translating Trivia
This game was made by one of my best friends, Hannah and I decided to try it too. Here it goes!
One of my friends has twin cousins that live in Sacramento, California. They are going to visit their Aunt in Bergen, Norway for a few weeks so they can learn Norwegian! Danielle and Nicole are really excited to go, cause after all they're leaving in 2 and a half weeks! And they'll see Aunt Ingrid, an Aunt that they have never seen! So while packing up, the girls suddenly thought of something - they didn't know the weather and what kind of clothes that they needed! And since their computer just broke, they had no way of getting onto the internet. So, Danielle and Nicole had to send their Aunt Ingrid a letter (because she had no phone). 2 weeks later, their Aunt Ingrid wrote back. But, shoot! She wrote it in Norwegian! And their computer still wasn't fixed. Aunt Ingrid must have forgotten that they didn't know Norwegian! Danielle and Nicole are leaving in 3 days, and there isn't time to write her another letter. So if you can translate it for them, they will be able to go to Bergen, Norway, and be properly dressed too. Here is the letter:
tante Ingrid
The easiest way to translate this is to go to dictionary.com and go to the translator button. I know that Danielle and Nicole would really appreciate this! Oh yeah, and once you have figured it out, copy and paste it in the comment box ASAP! And don't get worried if what you got doesn't make much sense because when you translate things, it might change things up because there is no such word. I will have the final answer in 2 weeks, so keep checking! Also, let me know if you like this!

Middle School
Middle school is going great for me, I have an awesome homeroom teacher named Mrs. Rosinski {Ra-zins-ski}! She also teaches math for the middle school. Another thing that I am happy about is that we are now treated like we're older! {Which we are} But with that comes, more responsibility, more tests, shorter time with friends and probably worst of all... bucket loads of homework! It's hard when your life is full of tons of activities! School starts at 8:00 and you are tardy at 8:01! Lunch it SO late in the day! You have 7 periods in the morning, and then 2 electives {or specials} in the afternoon. That makes lunch all the way at 1:00! Then school ends at 3:15. This is my schedule that I took a picture of because I color coded it, and I think it looks awesome! Am I right? I love it! Plus, it makes it a lot easier to see it. So far my electives are choir and Spanish and I am loving both of them. You know how I said our school was fun? It is, but it's really strict! You have to have a planner EVERYWHERE you go! So if you have to go to the bathroom, the teacher has to sign it and write the time that you left. Also, you have to sign in at a sheet in every classroom stating your name, the date and the time. At lunch you have to sit with your homeroom - which stinks because I made some good friends in another homeroom! One is named Lia, she's Puerto Rican and she is really nice! Also a girl named Olivia, and she loves koalas! I have a few in my home room too, like Brianna {who I share lockers with}, Saffy, Taylor, Ahjhane and Ellise. And in the hallways you have to walk in a line everywhere you go and be at a level 1 or 0 {meaning barely whispering or no talking at all}! The school is great, and I am hoping to be challenged, but there are a few things I would like to change. I will keep you people {that read our blog} updated on how things go at middle school! And if you guys can keep a secret, I already know 6 or 7 boys that like me. Middle school's tough already, and what I really don't need is that up there.

Last Vacation
Okay, this is a really long post. So you probably need a good 8-10 minutes to read this! Here it goes...
Our last vacation of the summer took place {and still is} in Atlanta, Georgia! We are staying with very good friend of ours, and our Aunt Tristin! On August 28, my mom, Lillian, Ella, Vivien and I drove for 9.5 hours. At around 6 we arrived in Nashville, Tennessee! We stayed at a hotel called Drury Inn. All of us were exhausted but we still had energy to swim in an awesome pool at the hotel! Part of it was inside and the other outside! You had to go under a wall in the pool to get outside. A while ago, we bought a super cool camera that is waterproof! So, we took a few pictures of us underwater. Before we went swimming, we drove to see the Grand Ole Opry and how much damage the flood had done to it. Unfortunately, they wouldn't even let us in because they were in the middle of reconstructing it! So then we went back to the hotel. The next day we had about a 4 hour drive, and it was SO pretty! There were little islands surrounded by a lake covered with trees. They were really big hills that were also surrounded by trees! All in all, the drive was beautiful! One thing, Emily's house is HUGE! And she has a fairy tale backyard, with trees and a patio, stairs and a lot of other cool things. We got in Atlanta at around 4 and we all are super happy to be here. Emily also has two dogs, one is black and her name is Phoebe. She is pretty old. The other one is Molly, she's 7. They are both fun and really cute! The next day, Wednesday, we went swimming at one of their friend's house, while our Aunt Tristin and Emily worked out. My aunt is going to do a triathlon in about 2 weeks! I really want to do one, I probably will next summer. Emily's family came over for dinner that night. Later in the evening, my dad flew in! So my mom went to the airport to pick him up late at night. On Thursday, we waited for Emily and Auntie Tristin to get home from work. So we went to a sports store called REI, looked around and ended up getting bug spray. Later on we babysat Emily's nephew, Ben, and went to the park. After the little girls went to bed, Auntie Tristin, Emily, Lillian and I went to a frozen yogurt called The Yogurt Tap. They have really good flavors and you can do it yourself and then add some toppings! The next morning we hung out mostly, playing on Emily's iPad, talking, playing outside. At around 11:00, Auntie Tristin, Lillian and I went lap swimming at a pool. It was really nice to get back into the water! After that, we met up with the rest of my family at a bookstore. We looked around for awhile and then went to a yummy breakfast and lunch diner called Thumbs Up. It was SO good! I got french toast and bacon, and it was delicious. That afternoon, we went to a bounce house place called Leapin Lizards with Emily's niece and nephew, Ben and Cara. After that we came back to the house and had Papa John's pizza and watched Marmaduke, and Big Fat Liar. Every single night Lillian and I stayed up until like 10:30-11:00! And yesterday, we went to a big book fair in Decatur. We got a lot of cool books for us and we got them all signed by the authors! Auntie Tristin and Emily came for a bit, but had to leave before we did because they had work to do. My family and I walked for like 3-4 hours around there, and after awhile we got super thirsty! So we got some really yummy Italian Ice, we got Mango and Strawberry Lemonade! And it was SO good! The best Italian Ice I have ever had! Later on, we were going to go see Liz Kessler, author of the Emily Windsnap series. But the editor of the booklet with all the shows' times got the time wrong and it ended up being today instead of yesterday. Lillian and I were bummed because we really like Emily Windsnap! At around 1:15 we left and went home to have lunch. When we got there, we decided to go swimming at the same place we did on Thursday. Auntie Tristin and I went lap swimming for awhile and then our whole family played and splashed around. It was such a beautiful day! There were no clouds in the sky, there was a soft breeze and it was so warm! Right after dinner, me, Lillian, Mom and Auntie Tristin snuck out to one of Tristin's favorite stores. And it was HUGE! Auntie Tristin said "Pick up everything you like and then we will try it on" and that is what we did. I had to shop in the Women's small or teens because there wasn't anything for me in kids. Before we went into the change rooms and after we looked through everything, we looked through our pile of clothes {I probably had 50 clothes!} and put away anything we didn't really want. That lowered me to about 25 things of clothes! So, I tried them on, while Lil, Auntie Tristin and Mom, tried on stuff too! I got super cute stuff including a cute grey and white striped shirt {I am wearing it right now!}, a pink shirt, a cream shirt, a white short-sleeved sweater, a super cute green dress with buttons and a collar, and the cutest jeans in the world! They have awesome stitching, and are just so cute and comfy! When we got into the change room, the store was closing in 25 minutes so we had to try on everything really fast. When we got home, we did a little fashion show for Emily and my dad. After that, we had banana splits! I put tons of hot fudge on it and a little bit of Cinnamon Toast Crunch on it. Then we went to bed. In the morning we ate, finished packing up a bit and then said goodbye because we had to leave! The drive was great, it actually went by fast. It was a 13 hour drive so it was a long day! We ate at Pei Wei for lunch and then at Ikea for dinner. We are now home after about a week of being away!
School starts tomorrow, and I am really excited...
